Tennis; Britain's Murray withdraws from Wimbledon

WIMBLEDON, England — Eighth-seeded Andy Murray pulled out of Wimbledon with a right wrist injury today, dealing a blow to British fans who considered him their best chance for a strong showing from a local player.Wimbledon begins tomorrow.
"The doctor has advised me not to play and that I probably need about 10 days to be ready," Murray said. "Unfortunately, I don't think it is going to rain for the next 10 days."
