University of Hawai'i quarterback Colt Brennan has been named to the preseason watch list for the Maxwell Award, which has been awarded since 1937 to the outstanding collegiate football player in America.
Brennan is one of 17 quarterbacks and two players from the Western Athletic Conference on the list.
Brennan finished sixth in the Heisman Trophy voting for 2006 and won the Sammy Baugh Award.
Semifinalists for the Maxwell Award will be announced in early November.
