Advertiser Staff

The University of Hawai'i-Hilo has signed two more women's soccer players — including Waiakea graduate Ashley Werner — for the upcoming season, according to UH-Hilo officials.

Werner, a 5-foot-5 forward, scored 58 career goals for the Warriors. Werner was a second-team Big Island Interscholastic Federation All-Star selection this past season.

The Vulcans also signed Megan Pachecano of Davis, Calif., a midfielder who played for San Juan Soccer Club. Pachecano also was a starter at Woodland (Calif.) High School and American River Junior College.

The Vulcans are coached by Travis Clarke and have signed 21 players for the upcoming season.
