Police today arrested a 36-year-old man on suspicion of stealing a man's car keys and his car in 'Ewa Beach.

The suspect was arrested a short time later after fleeing from police following a traffic stop for reckless driving near the beach site where the car was stolen.

The man was caught following a foot chase.

He was booked at 12:50 p.m. for auto theft, third-degree theft, resisting arrest and driving with a suspended license.

Police said he allegedly stole a bag containing the car keys from a 75-year-old man at the beach and drove off in his car.
