Work will mean some lane closures on Nimitz

Crews will be doing trench work for traffic signal system improvements on Nimitz Highway this week.There will be single lane closures on Nimitz in the eastbound direction near Pacific Street from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. today through Friday.
The state Department of Transportation advises motorists to use caution while driving through the work area and allow for extra travel time.
Roadwork is weather-permitting.
