Hawaiian Electric Co. will conduct a statewide series of public meetings to explore whether biofuels for Hawai'i can be sustainable. The Natural Resources Defense Council and HECO have proposed that only sustainable palm oil feed stocks be used for biodiesel refined in or imported into Hawai'i.
