Exhibit features art by city employees, kin

Advertiser Staff

Art by city employees and their families will be featured in the second annual Exhibit of The National Arts Program at Honolulu Hale.

The exhibit is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through July 12.

Viewing is free and open to the public.

The exhibit — and contest — features original works in painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, crafting and more.

There are three categories for entries: amateur, intermediate and professional.

Winners will be announced this week.

The National Arts Program was established in 1983 by The National Arts Program Foundation. It runs 78 annual programs in more than 400 cities and counties in 43 states and the District of Columbia.

The purpose is to offer people at any skill level the opportunity to share their work.

The exhibit is presented by the Mayor's Office of Culture and the Arts and The National Arts Program Foundation.
