DOE offering free summer meals to children at 12 sites

The Department of Education's school food services branch is providing free meals to all children under 19 years of age at 12 public school sites during the summer.The summer food service program for children is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
An eligible school must have 50 percent or more of its regular enrolled students qualifying for free or reduced-price lunches and some type of summer program on campus.
Meal recipients, however, do not have to be enrolled in any school summer programs.
Meals are being offered Monday through Friday except on July 4 at the following locations:
