Convention Center hires Chicago-based marketing staff

SMG Hawai'i has hired Walden Agustin and Julie Mullins Scuras as Regional Account Managers at its Chicago sales and marketing office for the Hawai'i Convention Center.Walden Agustin, who was born and raised on the Island of Lana'i, last worked as senior sales manager at the Hilton San Francisco, which has 1,908 guest rooms and 110,000 square feet of function space.
Julie Mullins Scurasoins the Hawai'i Convention Center from the Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau. She is a convention industry leader with more than 17 years of experience in securing long-term bookings.
"We are excited to have two seasoned professionals on our team based in Chicago," said Ron Adams, senior director of sales and marketing at the Hawai'i Convention Center. "As they aggressively market our Convention Center, Julie and Walden will prove to be a formidable sales team on our behalf."
