Kalihi neighborhood cleanup slated for Pua Lane

Kalihi residents, city workers and those who work in the neighborhood will clean up Pua Lane on Saturday as part of an Adopt-a-Block project.

The event starts at 8:30 a.m. behind St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Church on Kanoa Street.

Volunteers will paint out graffiti, bag up trash and pass out pollution fact sheets to residents.

The Adopt-a-Block program is coordinated by the city Department of Environmental Services.

To join the cleanup, call Weed and Seed Community Care at 779-7687 or the Adopt-a-Block program at 692-5208. Volunteers can also sign up for the project at www.cleanwaterhonolulu.com.
