Police seeking Kona home-invasion robbery suspect

Advertiser Staff

Big Island police are seeking information on the whereabouts of 44-year-old Harry Hose, who is wanted for questioning about yesterday's home-invasion robbery in south Kona.

Hose has no permanent local address, police said.

The 3 p.m. robbery occurred at a home off Highway 11 between the 88- and 89-mile markers.

A 15-year-old girl was home alone when confronted by a man, who allegedly stole five medical marijuana plants ranging from two to three feet tall.

Witnesses saw a red truck containing four or five males near the home just before the incident. Shortly after the robbery, the same truck was seen leaving the home and traveling north on Highway 11.

The case is being investigated as a robbery and kidnapping. Anyone with information on Hose is asked to call Detective Sharlotte Bird at 326-4646, ext. 275; the Big Island police nonemergency number at 935-3311, or Big Island CrimeStoppers

at 329-8181 (Kona ) or 961-8300 (Hilo).
