Man's body found at Larsen's Beach on Kauai

An autopsy is scheduled Friday in an effort to identify a man whose body was found today on Larsen's Beach in northeast Kaua'i.

The body was discovered at about 11:30 a.m., according to Kaua'i County spokeswoman Mary Daubert.

A 42-year-old man from Bellingham, Wash., was swept out to sea Sunday while swimming at Larsen's Beach at Moloa'a. Search efforts by the Kaua'i Fire Department and the Coast Guard failed to find the body of Roy Overstreet.

Kaua'i officials would not comment until identity is confirmed, Daubert said.
