No Hawaii tsunami threat from S. Pacific quake

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center has determined that there is no tsunami threat to Hawai'i from a 6.7 magnitude earthquake that struck the Solomon Islands today."No destructive widespread tsunami threat exists based on historical earthquake and tsunami data," the warning center said.
