Kim in fourth at AJGA event, Ching tied for 16th

Wailuku's Kyung Kim moved into fourth place after shooting the day's best round of 3-over 75 at the girls American Junior Golf Association Houchens Industries Junior Open in Alvaton, Ky., today.

Kim, who recently finished the seventh grade at Maui Waena Intermediate and is moving to Arizona, is at 15-over 159 for two rounds.

Daffodil Sanchez of Arizona leads at 8-over 152.

At the boys AJGA Mission Hills Desert Junior at Rancho Mirage, Calif., Alex Ching is tied for 16th after the second round.

Ching, who will be a senior at Punahou, shot an 1-over 73 for a two-round total of 144.

Californians Chris Cho and Tom Lo are tied for first at 5-under 139.

Both AJGA tournaments end tomorrow.
