UH hosts free talk on climate change July 11

As part of the University of Hawai'i at Manoa Centennial Celebration event, the Sakamaki Lecture Series continues with a talk by educator Stuart Scott on the climate crisis (July 11) at 7 p.m. on July 11 in the Krauss Hall Yukiyoshi Room.

Stuart Scott a graduate of Columbia University and the University of Florida, is an educator, environmentalist, and longtime Honolulu resident. He currently teaches college in the areas of mathematics, statistics and critical thinking, and markets solar energy solutions here in the islands. Most recently he has joined The Climate Project as a presenter of Al Gore`s "Climate Crisis" slide presentation, which is the subject of the critically acclaimed documentary film "An Inconvenient Truth." Scott recently launched his own ClimateCorps (www.climatecorps.org) to provide resources for restoring balance to the earth.
