The Alaska State Troopers office in Anchorage has issued a correction to information it released on a motor home crash near Seward on Tuesday that claimed the lives of a Makakilo couple.

The office said that upon further investigation, Dale Podoll, who was driving the motor home, and his wife, Eileen Podoll, were wearing their seat belts when the crash occurred. The couple are Waikele residents.

Eileen Podoll's first name was also misspelled in a press release issued by the office on Wednesday.

Dawn and Jeffrey Klausing, of Makakilo, both 41, who were riding in the motor home, were killed when the vehicle ran off Seward Highway and struck a tree.

The accident remains under investigation.
