Crews will be repainting faded lines marking parking stalls for trailers and cars at the Maunalua Bay lot this summer.

The state Department of Land and Natural Resources, Boating Division oversees the bay parking area.

At a meeting earlier this year with Rep. Gene Ward, R-17th (Hawai'i Kai, Kalama Valley), the restriping of the bay's parking lot was brought up because of disputes between boaters and motorists parked at the bay.

Faded lines are creating confusion and congestion in the oceanfront parking lot.
