July 31 is the deadline to enter the "My Favorite Maui County Fair Memory" contest.

The fair will celebrate its 85th year Sept. 27 to 30 at the War Memorial Complex.

The contest is open to all ages, with categories for adults and children. Entries can include a written paragraph of 100 words or less, paintings, drawings and photos no larger than 8 1/2 by 11 inches.

Winners will receive fair passes, with the grand prize a family trip to Portland or San Diego courtesy of Hawaiian Airlines.
