Blustery trade winds in the Islands to taper off

Blustery trade wind will diminish over the weekend, according to the National Weather Service. Expect windward and mauka showers and rain on the leeward side in the afternoon.

Here's what to look for in the coming days:

  • Today — Mostly sunny, with isolated showers. Highs 79 degrees to 89 degrees. East winds 10 mph to 15 mph, with higher gusts. Chance of rain: 20 percent.

  • Tonight — Partly cloudy, with isolated showers. Lows 67 to 77. Northeast winds 10 mph to 15 mph. Chance of rain: 20 percent.

  • Saturday — Mostly sunny, with isolated showers. Highs 78 to 88. East winds 10 mph to 15 mph. Chance of rain: 20 percent.

  • Saturday night — Partly cloudy, with isolated showers. Lows 66 to 76. Northeast winds 10 mph to 15 mph. Chance of rain: 20 percent.
