DJ Garth takes turntables at 39hotel tomorrow

DJ Garth will headline thirtyninehotel's Double Joy Disco on Saturday.

The DJ, who got his start in London and was instrumental in building the rave scene in San Francisco in the 1990s, is known for his eclecticism and love of challenging dance music. In addition to his own releases, he has created remixes for The Glimmers, Perry Farrell, Yabby You and Tribe Called Quest.

Garth runs the label Grayhound, based in San Francisco. He released the CD "Revolution in Sound" in 2003 and his latest, "Unleash the Hound," in 2006.
