KANE'OHE
Join volunteers to spiff up pond

Advertiser Staff

In an effort to beautify and clean an old Hawaiian pond, the Waikalua Loko Fishpond Preservation Society is holding its yearly work day tomorrow, from 8 a.m. to noon.

Educational tours of the fishpond and a light lunch will be provided.

Volunteers are encouraged to wear athletic shoes and clothing they don't mind getting dirty.

Bring water and sunscreen as well.

The Waikalua Loko fishpond is just beyond Pu'ohala Elementary School in Kane'ohe.

For more information and to pre-register to help, call Ka'ohua Lucas at 843-1217.
