Big surf continues today along south-facing shores

Advertiser Staff

Surf along south-facing shores is expected to reach 5 to 8 feet today, prompting a high-surf advisory.

Elsewhere, surf of 5 to 7 feet is expected along west-facing shores, 2 to 4 feet along east-facing shores and 2 feet or less along north-facing shores.

The south-southwest swell generating the high surf along south facing shores is expected to hang around through the Fourth of July.

The swell may switch a bit and become due south by the middle of the new week, according to the National Weather Service.
