Kauai firefighters battle blaze in Wailua

Kaua'i firefighters are working to battle a blaze in Wailua that has burned hundreds of acres since it started this afternoon.The fire broke out about 4:30 p.m.
No structures or lives are threatened. A total on acreage burnt was not available.
Kaua'i County spokeswoman Mary Daubert said about 22 firefighters are at the scene.
They are dousing flames and using bulldozers to create fire breaks.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
