Mix of sun and light rain expected for next few days

Moderate trade winds and trade showers are expected to persist into the first half of the coming week, according to the National Weather Service.

Rainfall will occur mostly over windward and mountain areas, forecasters said.

Some of the rain will likely fall over leeward slopes later in the afternoon.

Here is a more detailed look at the next few days:

Today, sunny. Isolated showers in the morning. Highs 78 to 88. East winds 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tonight, mostly clear. Lows 66 to 76. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph.

Sunday, mostly sunny. Highs 78 to 88. East winds 10 to 15 mph.

Sunday night, partly cloudy. Lows 66 to 76. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph.

Monday, mostly sunny. Isolated showers in the afternoon. Highs 78 to 88. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
