Despite not being selected in the NBA Draft on Thursday, former University of Hawai'i guard Matt Lojeski will receive an opportunity to make an NBA team.

Lojeski has been invited to play for the Utah Jazz's summer league team, according to his agent, Ben Pensack.

"Matt worked out for them a couple weeks ago, and we've been staying in touch with them," Pensack said. "After the draft, they expressed an interest, and so it looks like Matt will be on their summer team."

The Jazz will play in the Rocky Mountain Revue summer league in Salt Lake City. The summer league is for rookies, free agents, and first- or second-year NBA players.

Lojeski is scheduled to report to a training camp in Salt Lake City on July 8. The summer league will run July 13 to 20.

"He still has to make the team," Pensack said. "But at least he's being given that chance."

Lojeski is a 6-foot-6 shooting guard from Racine, Wis. He averaged team-highs of 16.9 points and 4.5 assists as a senior with the Rainbow Warriors last season.

Lojeski attended pre-draft workouts with the Jazz, Milwaukee Bucks and Golden State Warriors earlier this month, but was not one of the 60 players selected in Thursday's NBA Draft.

Lojeski has already signed a contract to play next season with Okapi Aalstar, a professional team in Belgium.

If Lojeski makes the Jazz — or any other NBA roster — he will be allowed to opt out of the contract.

If he does not make an NBA roster, Lojeski is scheduled to report to Belgium on Aug. 1.
