SELECTED TESORO STATIONS TO OFFER SPECIAL GASOLINE PRICES

PROMOTION TO FUEL DREAMS FOR SPECIAL OLYMPICS HAWAII ATHLETES

Event: "Fueling Dreams," a 12-hour promotion at 14 Tesoro stations on Oahu, Maui and the Big Island to raise funds for Special Olympics Hawaii.

Description: These Tesoro stations will offer special gasoline prices that will be unveiled at 6 a.m. on Friday, March 2.

Tesoro Hawaii employees and local law enforcement officials from the Honolulu Police Department and military will team up to pump gasoline for customers and wipe their windshields, while also collecting donations for Special Olympics Hawaii so that athletes can compete in Shanghai, China.

Customers who make a donation of $5 or more will be entered into a drawing to win a $500 Tesoro gift card, good for gasoline and merchandise. This drawing will be held at the end of this month (March 30).

Background: This is the second year that Tesoro has conducted the "Fueling Dreams" promotion. Last year, through the generosity of customers, Tesoro raised $19,000 for Special Olympics Hawaii from 12 stations in just five hours. This year, Tesoro is extending the promotional period to 12 hours and two additional stations are participating in the promotion.
