Waikiki Shell to be tented today for fumigation

The Waikiki Shell will be covered with a black-and-red tent by late afternoon in preparation for termite fumigation.A recent inspection of the site in Kapi'olani Park turned up evidence of live termites within the shell structure.
Fumigation technicians will use special lifts to conduct the fumigation. The tent is expected to be lifted on Saturday.
