DreamWorks designer to speak about animation work

Kathy Altieri, a production designer who worked on DreamWork's "Over the Hedge," offers a free lecture on the various jobs for artists in animation 1:45 p.m. March 19 at KOA 102 at Kapi'olani Community College.Altieri, who studied art at the University of California at Los Angeles and Art Center College of Design, working for Disney before joining the DreamWorks Animation studio in 1994. Her filmography includes: "The Prince of Egypt, "Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron," "Aladdin," "The Lion King," "The Little Mermaid" and "The Hunchback of Notre Dame."
