Restaurant marks opening with benefit

By Catherine E. Toth

Holokai Grill is celebrating its grand opening tomorrow with proceeds benefiting the Waikiki Community Center.

The event, which takes place from 5 to 8 p.m., will feature food, drink and entertainment by Pali, Melveen Leed and The Ka'ala Boys.

Cost is $25.

The island-theme restaurant — a sister to Tiki's Grill & Bar — occupies a 6,000-square-foot space on the second floor of the Embassy Suites at the $460 million Waikiki Beach Walk Project.

The restaurant — owned and operated by Bill Tobin, Kelly McGill and Greg Montgomery — is one of roughly 50 retailers and restaurants, including Roy's Restaurant and the Yard House, slated to open from now until May.

For more information about the event, call 923-1802. For more information about the restaurant, visit www.holokaigrill.com.
