Kailua church fire damage set at $50,000

Firefighters responded to a fire at St. Anthony's Church in Kailua early this morning.The fire, at 114 Makawao St., was inside the church and the fire department had it under control within minutes of the call.
A preliminary estimate of damage to the building and its contents was set at $50,000.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
