Brandon Haislet drove in three runs to help Hawai'i crush Chicago State, 20-1, tonight at Les Murakami Stadium.

It was the most runs scored by UH since 1999 in a 34-11 win at Air Force.

Ian Harrington (3-3) allowed an unearned run, six hits and two walks with eight strikeouts in seven innings for UH (10-6).

Chris Freshour (0-3), a Mid-Pacific graduate, allowed six runs, nine hits and two walks with a season-high eight strikeouts, in five-plus innings for the Cougars (0-7).

Hawaii took a 1-0 lead in the first. With one out, Jon Hee singled to center, took second when Justin Frash grounded out to the pitcher and scored on Brandon Haislet's flair single to center.

The Rainbows added a run in the third. Derek DuPree led off with a single to right-center and one out later, Frash was hit by a pitch. Haislet then doubled to center to score DuPree and move Frash to third. But Kris Sanchez struck out and Landon Hernadnez flied out to right to keep the score, 2-0.

Hawai'i added two in the fifth. With one out, Hee tripled to right and scored on Frash's flare single to left-center. Haislet struck out. Frash took second on a wild pitch and scored on Kris Sanchez's double to right-center to make it 4-0.

The Rainbows added three in the sixth and chased Freshour in the process.

Eli Christensen walkd, stole second and scored on Jorge Franco's single to center to end Freshour's night for Sean Freeman. Franco stole second before DuPree struck out, took third on a wild pitch and scored on Hee's sacrifice fly to center. Frash reached on a single to second, took second on a wild pitch and scored on Haislet's single to right-center; Haislet was thrown out trying to stretch his hit into a double, but UH increased its lead to 7-1.

The Rainbows scored 13 runs in the seventh to increase their lead to 20-1.
