Moderate surf around islands

Advertiser Staff

No monster sets will be rolling in, but there's plenty of good surf around the islands today and a moderate-sized northwest swell expected on Sunday.

The National Weather Service said surf along northern shores will be 4 to 6 feet, surf off eastern shores will be 3 to 6 feet and surf along western shores will be 2 to 4 fee and southern shores will see 3 feet or less.

A larger west northwest swell is expected to arrive Monday. The surf resulting from this swell may approach the high surf advisory threshold along north and west facing shores late Monday and Tuesday, the National Weather Service said.
