'Hats Off' fundraiser helps American Red Cross

Today is the start of the biggest fundraiser of the year for the American Red Cross, Hawaii Chapter."Hats Off" celebrates national Red Cross Month.
Last year various branches of the military, firefighters, Civil Defense, club members and numerous community supporters collected more than $80,000 over a 2-day period.
All funds collected today and tomorrow will go to the American Red Cross, Hawai'i Chapter, to support local services.
Take part at the following locations:
Kickoff at Tamarind Park
Today, 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Entertainment, celebrity Jan Ken Po contest, food booths (Morton's Steakhouse, Starbucks, Dib's Ice Cream, bake sale), Hawaiian TelCom corded phones, and informational booths for emergency organizations.
Hats Off donation sites
Today and tomorrow, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Hundreds of volunteers will be at intersections throughout O'ahu collecting monetary donations.
