BYU-Hawaii men defeat HPU in basketball, 72-51

Eric Boyce scored 14 points and Paul Peterson and Corey Nielson each added 10 as the Brigham Young-Hawaii men's basketball team beat Hawaii Pacific, 72-51, Friday night in a Pacific West Conference game at Cannon Activities Center in Laie.BYUH (20-7, 12-3 Pac West) clinched the sixth 20-win season in Ken Wagner's 16-year tenure.
Mickey Wheeler led HPU (10-17, 4-11) with 10 points.
The NCAA Division II tournament field will be announced Saturday and the tournament begins Thursday.
