HAWAI'I KAI
Stalled sewer work to resume

Advertiser Staff

The last segment of sewer line repair work on Lunalilo Home Road that has been stalled for six months will resume this month after a part arrives for the nearby pump station.

Hawaii American Water, the owner and operator of the sewer system, spent much of last year relining sewer pipes under Lunalilo Home Road.

Steel plates cover the last 100-foot segment of sewer pipes at the intersection of Hawai'i Kai Drive and Lunalilo Home Road near the entrance to Mariner's Cove improvements to the pumping station, said Ian Arakaki, a consultant hired by the sewer company.

Work should be completed by April.
