Family hike set for March 10

Waimea Valley Audubon Center will host a family hike from 9:30 a.m. to noon on March 10.

Climb to the top of Kalahe'e Ridge following a switchback trail through a mixed forest of exotic and native plants. Bring a camera because the view from the top is breathtaking.

The hike is approximately two miles. The easy-to-moderate hike is appropriate for ages 7 and up. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

The fee is $3 plus admission. Cash only. Admission for kama'aina is $5 for adults, $3 for children; nonresidents is $8 for adults and $5 for children.
