$1.7M awarded to 'Ewa Beach man in suit over crash

An 'Ewa Beach man has been awarded $1.7 million in Circuit Court for injuries he recieved in a moped accident in 2003.Mark Glipa, 47, suffered fractured bones and deep cuts on his foot after he was broadsided by a pickup truck.
The driver of the truck, Francisca Ripa, argued she was not at fault for the crash.
This week, the jury sided with Glipa, who had part of his foot amputated.
