Pedestrian hit in front of Queen's Medical Center

A pedestrian was struck by a car in front of The Queen's Medical Center this morning.

The accident happened at about 10 a.m. when a woman driving a four-door sedan hit a pedestrian in her 40s who was attempting to cross Punchbowl at Miller Street in a marked crosswalk.

Paramedics from Queen's wheeled the woman on a gurney across the street and into the emergency room.

The extent of her injuries wasn't immediately known. The driver did not appear to be injured.
