Castle Performing Arts Center to stage '42nd Street'

"42nd Street," the Tony Award-winning tap-dancing Broadway show, will be staged by Castle Performing Arts Center beginning at 7:30 April 5 at Ronald Bright Theatre, Castle High School.

The musical, set in 1933 Broadway, follows aspiring chorus girl Peggy Sawyer and her journey to fame.

The show's classic show tunes include "We're in the Money," "Lullaby of Broadway" and "42nd Street."

Karen Meyer is directing; Candace Yoshioka is choreographer; Emmett Yoshioka is musical director.

Other evening shows will be at 7:30 p.m. April 13, 14, 20 and 21, with 2 p.m. matinee shows on April 6, 7, 15 and 22.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for students, senior citizens and military. Good Friday (April 6) matinee tickets are half-price.
