UH's Harrington named WAC Pitcher of the Week

Hawai'i's Ian Harrington was named Western Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced today.

It is the left-hander's third award this season.

Harrington allowed a run that was unearned, six hits and two walks with four strikeouts in seven innings in a 20-1 win against Chicago State on Thursday that helped the Rainbows sweep the five-game series. He improved to 3-3.

Meanwhile, Nevada catcher Konrad Schmidt was named WAC HItter of the Week after batting .667 to help the Wolf Pack sweep a three-game series from state rival UNLV.
