  • Friday, the local chapter of the Public Relations Society of America will sponsor a workshop and panel discussion, "CRISis COMMUNICATIONS: ARE YOU PREPARED FOR THE BRAVE NEWS WORLD," followed by actual spokesperson training. The comprehensive half-day workshop will feature Joan Gladstone, president and chief executive officer of Gladstone International, a leading crisis communication and issues management firm.   • Representatives of some of the new business "residents" of the new Waikiki Beach Walk redevelopment project will share their thoughts in a panel discussion March 15, sponsored by the the HAWAII SOCIETY OF CORPORATE PLANNERS and RETAIL MERCHANTS OF HAWAII.     The U.S. Small Business Administration will hold its annual International Trade Forum Wednesday at the Foreign Trade Zone No. 9 at Pier 2. The forum, "A Guide to Doing Business Overseas: Your Global Connection," will feature experts in finance, agriculture and marketing addressing issues that small business owners must resolve for a successful export venture.   • Cliff Slater, longtime critic of a city fixed-rail mass transit system — and advocate instead of high-occupancy toll (HOT) lanes — will speak to the noon luncheon meeting Thursday of the EXCHANGE CLUB OF DOWNTOWN HONOLULU. Slater, owner of Maui Divers, will outline the status of rail vs. toll highway issues to handle ever-increasing traffic problems, particularly for Leeward O'ahu. Fee.   • Four local businesspeople — the late Dwayne Steele (a legacy laureate) of Grace Pacific Construction; Paul Loo of Morgan Stanley; Joe Nicolai of JN Automotive Group, and Harold Tanouye of Green Point Nurseries — have been named to the Junior Achievement Hawai'i Business Hall of Fame.
