PROVO — A BYU track and field team athlete from O'ahu was arrested Friday for alleged "forcible sex abuse" involving a 17-year-old girl.

Redmond Tutor, of La'ie, was arrested on the Brigham Young University campus for allegedly fondling the girl after a high school dance, according to police documents.

The girl claims Tutor followed her into a bathroom at a friend's house and started taking off his pants, the documents state.

The girl accuses Tutor of pulling down her tube dress, kissing her and touching her exposed breasts — all against her will — and blocking the door when she tried to leave.

Tutor admitted to the conduct in an interview to police, and added that the girl said something about a "rain check" to him.

Tutor's mother testified on his behalf at a hearing Monday, and Tutor left Utah County Jail after making $10,000 bail.

Tutor was a BYU freshman and a long jumper on the track team, and working at BYU Dining Services when the alleged incident occurred.

Tutor is no longer a student at BYU, said university spokeswoman Carri Jenkins.

He is scheduled to appear for a felony first appearance Monday.
