The public is invited to see China Blue-sky Children Arts Troupe perform at 10 a.m. tomorrow in the state Capitol courtyard with a 30-minute concert of traditional Chinese song and dance.

The performers are part of a delegation chosen to promote the 2008 Beijing Olympics. The troupe includes 25 children, ages 5 and 6, who have come from a four-city promotion on the U.S. Mainland, according to the state Department of Business, Economic Development & Tourism.

That department worked with the Department of Education to invite 160 public school children from Royal and Ka'ahumanu elementary schools to take part in this event as a cultural exchange. The Hawai'i children will welcome the China delegation by singing the national anthem and Hawai'i Pono'i and presenting them with lei.
