Volunteers sought to help orphaned wild birds

Advertiser Staff

The Wild Bird Rehab Haven is looking for volunteers to help orphaned and injured wild birds.

The nonprofit, located in Mo'ili'ili, will hold a seminar March 25 to train volunteers. The seminar will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. in room 207 at the Mo'ili'ili Community Center.

The meeting is free, but registration is required. To reserve a space, call 447-9274 or e-mail birdofparadise@hawaii.rr.com. Class size is limited, so register early.

"So many people find baby birds and no one knows what to do," said Linda Leveen, haven director. "We receive calls every day from people who find birds, but our group is limited."
