Honolulu Family Festival to be held at Magic Island

News Release

Honolulu Family Festival will be held at Magic Island in Ala Moana Beach Park March 29 to April 1.

Proceeds raised through ticket sales for rides and food will go toward the refurbishment of Ala Moana Park.

Festival hours:

  • Thursday, March 29 — 5 to 10 p.m.

  • Friday, March 30 — 5 p.m. to midnight

  • Saturday, March 31 — 10 a.m. to midnight

  • Sunday, April 1 — 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

    Free parking will be available at Alapa'i bus lot on the corner of South King and Alapa'i streets, and at the Honolulu Municipal Building parking lot on King Street. Catch the shuttle from the Alapa'i bus lot on South King Street:

  • Friday, March 30 — 5 p.m. to midnight

  • Saturday, March 31 — noon to midnight

  • Sunday, April 1 — 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

    Festival entertainment offerings also include: "JUMP" The Ultimate Dog Show, featuring stunt dogs in action; Watershow Productions' Pirates of the Caribbean High Dive Show; and Backyard Circus and Family Puppet Parade.

    A dozen food booths will offer carnival favorites such as malasadas and local selections including Korean, Hawaiian, Puerto Rican, Filipino, Samoan, Japanese and Chinese foods.

    The Honolulu Family Festival is presented by Mayor Mufi Hannemann, the City and County of Honolulu, Honolulu 100 and E.K. Fernandez Shows. For more information, go to www.HonoluluFamilyFestival.com.
