Topographic map maker gathers Hawai'i data

Intermap Technologies Corp., a producer of digital topographic maps that include elevation data, said it has completed its data collection for Hawai'i as part of a project to produce a map of the United States.It's also gathered data for California, Florida, Mississippi, as well as portions of other states as it works to complete the U.S. project by the end of next year, the Denver-based company said in a news release. The data can be used for a variety of applications, including geographical information systems, engineering planning, environmental management and 3D visualization.
