Advertiser Staff
Two Hawai'i spots are winners of Sunset.com's 2007 Environmental Awards: Waimea Valley Audubon Center, which shelters species such as the Hawaiian moorhen and the koki'o hibiscus, and Papahanaumokuakea, the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands National Monument, one of the planet's largest acts of conservation. The 10-strong list honors success stories of wild areas rescued by complex public-private partnerships. The full list is at http://www.sunset.com/paradiseawards.
