Advertiser Staff

A Kapa'a man remained at-large as of 1:45 a.m. this morning following a pursuit by Kaua'i police late Tuesday morning.

Chris Dichoso Santos, 31, who is wanted for parole violation, resisting an order to stop a motor vehicle, and criminal property damage, was spotted in a vehicle near the intersection of Kahuna and Kawaihau roads at around 11:30 am. on Tuesday.

Police gave chase, but Santos abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot.

He is considered armed and dangerous.

A joint operation was established by the Kaua'i Police Department, federal marshals and the state Department of Land and Natural Resources — Division of Conservation and Resources Enforcement in an attempt to find Santos.

"We're hoping that Santos will turn himself in," said assistant police chief Roy Asher.

Anyone with information about Santos is urged to call KPD dispatch at (808) 241-1711 or CrimeStoppers at (808) 241-1887.
