Makaha brushfire under control

A brushfire that burned about 10 acres near the east golf course of the Makaha Country Club was reported under control shortly before 6 p.m.The fire department sent eight engine companies and four tankers to the fire, which started about 4 p.m. There were no injuries or property damage, department spokesman Capt. Frank Johnson said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Resort security personnel saw a group of youths in the area just before the fire started.
