Four surfers from Hawaii to compete in Mavericks

Four surfers from Hawaii will participate in The Mavericks Surf Contest, a big-wave contest in Half Moon Bay, Calif.

The holding period for the contest has been extended until March 31. Participants will receive a call 24 hours before the contest is set to begin.

Brock Little, Garrett McNamara, Ross Clarke-Jones and Jamie Sterling are the surfers from Hawaii that are scheduled to compete with 20 other surfers. Noah Johnson, also of Hawaii, is on the alternate list.
